2024 Donation Statements have been sent - Watch for it. They were emailed to the email we have on file on Tuesday January 21st. If you didn’t receive it, check your spam. If you need it printed, please call Chris in the Parish Office, or send her an email (chris.shaw@stteresaofcalcutta.org), to request a copy. Copies were mailed to those that we don’t have an email address for.
If you have not yet made the switch to online giving, the new year is a great time to “set it and forget it”! Click “online giving” on our parish homepage, or call the Parish Office for assistance.
Do you know someone with a Liturgy & Music background? Kay Moen, our Director of Liturgy and Music, will be retiring in the coming months and we’re looking for someone to take over her role. Inquiries may be directed to Deacon Allen Olson or Teri Moseler in the parish office. The people who participate in the St. Teresa of Calcutta music ministry are very talented, dedicated and devout. These are the ones who move the hearts of our parish by bringing the beauty of song to our Liturgies. However, they would be most appreciative if more people would come forward and join the choir, in particular, harmony voices. We need women altos and you probably notice that our gentlemen are out numbered. Please contact Kay Moen as she eagerly waits for your response. |

EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL: Year 3 Encountering Jesus in the Eucharist, part 3 We listened to reflections of how we might better encounter Jesus in the Mass by building on Pillars of preparation. We move now to people who typify how an encounter with our Eucharistic Lord gives shape to the rest of our lives. St. Charles de Foucauld (b.1858, France; d. 1916 by assassination) was a cavalry officer, turned explorer, then linguist, and finally monk and priest. He spent several hours each day before the tabernacle, knowing that that “Eucharistic life evangelizes.” St. Charles recognized that he needed to come to Christ in the Eucharist to be transformed by the Holy Spirit and filled with his strength to be an evangelizing witness to the risen Christ. His Surrender Prayer was prayed by St. Teresa of Calcutta. The Eucharist played a similar role for Venerable Fulton Sheen (b. 1895; d. 1979). Throughout the 60 years of his priesthood, Archbishop Sheen would daily spend an hour before the Blessed Sacrament. In his autobiography he writes, “The purpose of the Holy Hour is to encourage a deep personal encounter with Christ. The holy and glorious God is constantly inviting us to come to Him, to converse with Him, to ask for things as we need and experience what a blessing there is in fellowship with Him.” The Liturgy and Worship Team Surrender Prayer Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you. I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures. I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself, into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father. |
The theme for this year is "Courage Under Fire". Gathering with men that are facing everyday world life and coming to a sense that we're not alone, but have a source for support and help to be the leaders we are intended and wish to be. There are a number of exciting speakers scheduled. It will be a day for all men, both seasoned and young. It will be a day filled with laughter and camaraderie. Check out the web site menofchrist.net and learn about the speakers, and where and how to register. Decide if you wish to go to Carroll University or attend St. Teresa of Calcutta. The capacity at Carroll is limited and expected to fill up soon. |
Co-sponsoring Workcamp 2025 For almost 25 years our church has been sending teens and adults from our parish on Workcamp Mission Trips around the country with an organization called Group Mission Trips. This Mission Trip has changed the lives not only of the teens and adults that attend, but the community and residents that we serve in. That is why this year we decided to work with Group Mission Trips to bring a Mission Trip to our community. This means that St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish is hosting a Workcamp this Summer. Our Workcampers will be attending this local camp as their camp for the summer, and they will be staying at the Pewaukee middle school for the week. The students will sleep on the classroom floors on air mattress use the gym for Mass and programs and will go out and serve low income, disabled, elderly and veteran residents in the area. Residents will need to live within 30 minutes of the middle school. All our Workcamp regular fundraisers will still go towards our group’s participant cost, but our responsibility as co-sponsors of the camp is to find the residents that need home repair projects done, fundraise for the cost of materials and provide hospitality for the camp. We are looking for parishioners to get involved in one of these areas:
Workcamp week will be July 20th to 25th, 2025 If you are interested in helping in any way or want more information, please contact Steph Haizel. Email Steph.haizel@stteresaofcalcutta.org Phone 262-966-2191 x129 |
