If you have not yet made the switch to online giving, the new year is a great time to “set it and forget it”! Click “online giving” on our parish homepage, or call the Parish Office for assistance.
Do you know someone with a Liturgy & Music background? Kay Moen, our Director of Liturgy and Music, will be retiring in the coming months and we’re looking for someone to take over her role. Inquiries may be directed to Deacon Allen Olson or Teri Moseler in the parish office. The people who participate in the St. Teresa of Calcutta music ministry are very talented, dedicated and devout. These are the ones who move the hearts of our parish by bringing the beauty of song to our Liturgies. However, they would be most appreciative if more people would come forward and join the choir, in particular, harmony voices. We need women altos and you probably notice that our gentlemen are out numbered. Please contact Kay Moen as she eagerly waits for your response. |

EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL: Year 3 Pillar 1: Eucharistic Encounter As we let you know about the Four Pillars last weekend, this week we begin to focus on each pillar separately. We begin with Pillar 1, Eucharistic Encounter, which emphasizes deepening our personal relationship with Jesus through prayer, adoration, and the sacraments. Before the most important moments in Christ’s life, he retreated and prayed to his Father, offering us a model for our lives. In multiple Bible passages, we read that Jesus removes himself from the crowd to seek out the beauty of silence. Before we go out, we too must encounter our Lord and seek him. Pope Francis exhorts us, “Let us make space for the prayers of silent adoration in which we experience the presence of the Lord, like Moses, like Elijah, like Mary, like Jesus. Let us return to worship. Let us lend the ear of our hearts to the One who, in silence, wants to say to us, ‘I am your God – the God of mercy and compassion, the God of pardon and love, the God of mercy and compassion, the God of pardon and love, the God of tenderness and care.’” Pope Francis also teaches us that in the Eucharistic liturgy, we are guaranteed an encounter with Christ and his Pascal Mystery. SAVE THE DATE Keep March 29th, 2025 open to attend the Men of Christ Conference. The live conference will be held at Carroll University in Waukesha and streamed to several host sites. St Teresa of Calcutta will be one of the host sites. The Men of Christ apostolate is a group of Catholic lay men from all walks of life who have come together to make a difference in this world by helping other men to live their Catholic faith boldly. We strive to help men realize that they—as men—play a unique and critical role in God’s plan of salvation. We work to create an environment that enables men to build strong friendships—a band of brothers—who give each other the strength to serve and protect our families, our country and our Church in today’s great spiritual battle. Further information will be provided in upcoming bulletins and eblasts regarding speakers, registration and logistics for the event. |
Co-sponsoring Workcamp 2025 For almost 25 years our church has been sending teens and adults from our parish on Workcamp Mission Trips around the country with an organization called Group Mission Trips. This Mission Trip has changed the lives not only of the teens and adults that attend, but the community and residents that we serve in. That is why this year we decided to work with Group Mission Trips to bring a Mission Trip to our community. This means that St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish is hosting a Workcamp this Summer. Our Workcampers will be attending this local camp as their camp for the summer, and they will be staying at the Pewaukee middle school for the week. The students will sleep on the classroom floors on air mattress use the gym for Mass and programs and will go out and serve low income, disabled, elderly and veteran residents in the area. Residents will need to live within 30 minutes of the middle school. All our Workcamp regular fundraisers will still go towards our group’s participant cost, but our responsibility as co-sponsors of the camp is to find the residents that need home repair projects done, fundraise for the cost of materials and provide hospitality for the camp. We are looking for parishioners to get involved in one of these areas:
Workcamp week will be July 20th to 25th, 2025 If you are interested in helping in any way or want more information, please contact Steph Haizel. Email Steph.haizel@stteresaofcalcutta.org Phone 262-966-2191 x129 |
